What made you take the leap in entrepreneurship?
My yoga teacher training set me off on this entrepreneur ride! I always loved going to classes & yoga classes in particular changed my entire day. I knew that I wanted to make that type of impact in someone else’s life so I became a yoga teacher. As I continued to teach – I realized it is the mindset work of a yoga class is really what sets it apart from any other workout class. Now as an influencer coach – I blend my marketing background with mindset. I love diving into both with other women to help them achieve their dreams.
What’s your favorite part about being your own boss?
Being able to co-create in my own life to do what I love & earn money doing it. I believe that if every single person did what lights them up – the world would be a better place. It feels really empowering to do and create exactly the type of business you want to.
Do you have any work philosophies that drive your business?
To trust the process & let that give me room to experiment. With having a business – there are going to be failures but if we take those as lessons they can be thought of as experiments instead. There’s no growth without experimenting & doing something different so we cannot let the fear of failure keep us from trying.
What does “bringing breath to business” mean for you and your brand?
Oh I love this as a yoga teacher. I blend mindfulness practices with marketing strategy. We can have all of the strategies in the world but if we’re not creating space to tune into ourselves & our audience– it is going to fall flat. Connection with our audience is the most important thing & it’s really easy to get lost in the strategy of it all. That’s why I really believe that mindfulness & influence can walk together hand in hand for success.
What’s your biggest tip for social media success?
Listen to what your audience is really asking for & double down on that. Tune out everything else & focus on bringing consistent value to your people – that is going to attract more of those people to your brand.
What would be the one piece of advice you’d give to someone working to find their passion or purpose/piece of advice you’d give to someone working on building a brand/business?
To just start – start before you’re ready, start before it is perfect. Because you are never going to be ready. And you are going to find what your passion or purpose is by leaning into what feels right for you and going in that direction. Don’t keep yourself stuck in that place a minute longer worrying what if!
